Toyota car dealership Burrows wanted to promote the new range of Toyota cars and their own brand. As well as giving the customer a free printed and digital photo to take away they wanted to collect the customers contact data, we did this using our social sharing and data capture software. They decided to go with a car themed green screen photo booth with a photographer.
The photo booth allowed the public to be in a photo alongside one of the new Toyota cars. Having a photographer to guide people and direct people meant that families were attracted to the stand. What parent doesn’t want a nice photo of their kids.
The customer workflow
To allow guests to understand what was going on we used a large 50 inch TV to slideshow examples of the finished photos, with the all important words free photo.
Guests selected the car they wanted to be photographed next to and then our photographer took a photo of them against the green screen. Once the photo is taken its quickly superimposed on the computer and then instantly printed. Guest then have the chance to send a digital photo to social media using one of our iPads.
Taking up a prime location in Meadowhall shopping centre Sheffield over a 3 day weekend the green screen was a huge hit. Over the course of the 3 days, 358 photos were taken of some 700+ people taking part. The estimated social reach from all the social media shares was 7430. What this means is that some 7430 people saw the photos with the branding on social media. This was a success for our client.
